With Valentines day around the corner it's only fitting to have a little bit of sweet inspiration in the form of this amazing geometric wedding cake from Intricate Icings Cake Design. We chatted with Rachael Teufel, the immensely talented wedding cake designer from Intricate Icings Cake Design about wedding cakes and this gorgeous modern wedding cake she created. She filled us in on all the yummy details and how to tie together your decor and wedding cake perfectly.
"Clean and modern designs are certainly my favorite. The geometric pattern and the combination of orange and grey work so well together. The pattern on this cake was inspired by the table linens and was hand cut from modeling chocolate. Using decor elements from the wedding to customize your cake design is a great way to tie it all together. Flowers are a great way to add pops of color. This cake included layers of Amaretto cake with chocolate hazelnut mousse and Zucchini lime cake with cream cheese filling."
