Coloured diamonds have achieved record prices at Christie's and recently their classic counterparts have begun to see record prices themselves. Seven of the top ten lots at Christie's Important Jewels auction held recently featured colorless diamonds with five of the items selling for more than $1 million (including commission and fees).
