Matte lips!
Bright, beautiful and modern, matte lips are a quick uncomplicated way to look glamorous for your wedding without all the flash. Plus matte lips are big business right now and you can find them on all the hottest celebrities, the runways, and in the pages of Vogue.
We chatted with Jenna Andersen of Canmore & Banff Makeup Artistry (she is fiercely talented and knows her makeup) for her take on this trend and how you can wear it for your wedding day. According to Jenna "Matte lipstick is a perfect way to wear a highly pigmented lip colour on your wedding day that lasts. It has more wax and colour and less oil, so it lasts all day long.
She also suggests buying a great lip scrub, like "Sugar Lip Polish" by FRESH, before trying this ultra chic and somewhat dry look. That way your lips will look plump and smooth when you apply the colour. And Jenna's favourite matte lipstick is Pure Matte Lipstick by NARS in Vesuvio (the perfect full bodied red).
