Marcie and Neil planned an intimate wedding at the most incredible location in the Canadian Rockies, Emerald Lake Lodge. The wedding was touching and beautiful, the weather was absolutely perfect, and everyone partied late into the night.
Marcie knew the landscape all around her would be incredibly beauitful and full of natural colour so she worked with a palette of nude, white, and light pink for the bridesmaids dresses and decor. This was the perfect idea as it set a beautiful background for mother nature and looked incredibly sophisticated. Darren Roberts Photography captured every moment and emotion throughout the day beautifully.
The wedding ceremony took place beside the famous jade coloured waters of Emerald lake, the colour of this lake is so beautiful you simply couldn't design a more gorgeous backdrop. Surrounded by their closest family and friends and the beauty of the outdoors, Marcie and Neil said "I do" in the most beautiful and touching ceremony followed by a champagne toast and celebration.
Emerald Lake Lodge with its century-old fireplaces and an oak bar salvaged from an 1890's Yukon saloon, was a remarkable setting filled with history and beauty for Marcie and Neil's wedding reception. A long, family style table with simple bunches of wild flowers brought everyone together to celebrate.
Personal, hand-written thank you notes were given to each guest for a thank-you that was truly special and heartwarming.
